Don't forget some of the upcoming events at City Church.

Community Group Christmas Gathering is Saturday Dec. 20th. 6pm to ?? It is adults only. Bring a covered dish and two small gifts for our "White Elephant". One gag gift and one regular. We will get a flyer out to you this week. If you need directions just call 396-9193.

There will be no Community Groups on the 21st or the 28th. So, we will be back on Jan. 4th, 2009.

Most of you are aware of the upcoming changes to our Sunday schedule. Also the changes to how Community Groups or "small groups" will look. In order answer more questions and find out more information the pastor has asked that we attend a congregational meeting this Sunday at 9:45 am. This a Q and A session so you will have opportunities to hear from many others on what is coming and why.

Personally, I am excited. Change is never easy and it might take some getting used to but we need to be meeting together throughout the week. Our time together on Sunday is to short. Our children need a good discipleship program and this will allow for that to occur. If we are going to spend eternity together we better get to know one another and learn to like each other.

I would like to hear some comments on what God is say to some of you about this change. What does "community" mean to you? What should we be doing as a body of believers? How can we really support and encourage each family? etc.
